Hip Hoppers

It is our duty to shed light on this underground world of music. There is unbelievable talent out there who deserve dolla bills for their lyrics and beats. Instead, the mainstream heads bogart the hip hop industry. They sell-out their styles and rhymes, and make million dollar rap videos. It just isn't right.

So now I have a new gig beyond this website to further the campaign of hip hop. I have been living out in LA working with the reknown URB magazine. Together, URB and 84 BeatStreet will continue to promote and raise awareness of what's really good out there. Because there is much quality hip hop, it would be a crime to never let it come out from the depths and see the light.

D-Kno

Yo, my name is D-Kno. I come from the underground, entered through the deep recesses of the back of your mind, where few dare to go and fewer ever return. I am an original escapee hiding in this dimension spreading the truth like Johnny Apple Seed. I certainly won't be posting any personal pictures and what I say here is a secret reluctantly shared with the few who understand.

There is indeed a deep dark secret that I am currently exposing to those brave or stupid enough to read this nonsense. Mainstream hip hop is just horrendous. Who would want to listen to thugs rapping about their cars and women? Unfortunately far too many. Who can account for such bad taste? But then you may ask: so why do mainstream rappers have 32 car garages filled with automotive extremes...at each of their 8 houses?

The answer is strange but true...

I am the mysterious minion who was a dark part of the main stream rap label companies. I am the voice that you cannot hear but is deeply embedded in main stream rap speaking to your subconscious mind on the exact downbeat of the bass, telling you that this ranting and raving nonsense about meaningless material objects is actually good music, and that you should buy it and make us all rich...stupid CEO's...and they all did. Well, when they were not looking I escaped this hell slipping away from this MTV civilization pretending to be good rap. Because as we all know, they certainly had no idea what good rap was! So when they heard good rap they freaked out and...

...and I began telling people the truth, a cardinal sin said the record label boss, then the rich man demoleculized me and put it here on earth in the form of a 17 year kid believing no one would listen to a teenager, thus having no fear that their secret would be released.

Well here I am, releasing this awful dreaded secret that mainstream rap music actually is horrible nothingness with a beat.

Ahah, and I can now scream the truth as loud as I possibly can. It's the world of underground hip hop that is the real stuff. The four original elements of hip hop are still being practiced by desperate eunuchs sworn to secrecy deep below the streets of Manhattan, LA, Chicago, Boston and yes even Atlanta. All this is unknown to most of the world except me and you.

My hope is to shed some light upon this insanity, to open the deep recesses of your minds and explore the ancient rhythm now incanted as Underground Hip Hop: the real thing, real rap: underground hip hop.
